Graham Jones
Growing up in the tiny town of Numurkah in northern Victoria, Graham Jones’ dream was to become an architect. It never came to fruition!
At great expense and after six years of boarding school, his parents had provided him with the best education they could afford, so it was straight into the workforce for Graham.
His dream never waned and in December 1988 at the age of 40, Graham and his wife Ella opened their design practice GRAHAM JONES Design (GJD) in Mornington.
Clueless to the design or construction industry, this new enterprise was a huge gamble. They designed and constructed a display home in Mt. Martha and lived in it with their 2 children while hundreds of punters rummaged through their home every weekend for almost 4 years.
Success was instantaneous and GJD soon became a multi award-winning national brand, synonymous with stunning, contemporary, minimalist design, in the residential and medical sectors.
Retiring in 2006, Graham continues to mentor the team at GJD in our endeavours to create a brilliant custom design for each project we work on.

Jarrett Drake

Jarrett is the director of Graham Jones Design with over 20 years of experience in the industry. With such a large variety of clients, sites and projects, there is always a challenge on offer for Jarrett, who focuses on projects running smoothly and clients feeling informed and at ease. As Graham Jones Design continues to grow, Jarrett maintains broadening industry knowledge and strives to ensure our positioning as an industry leading design company. He has created a strong and close-knit culture amongst GJD, encouraging the team to always be forward thinking and creative. He strongly believes that to be good at what you do, you must enjoy what you do.
Brad Bishop

Having been in the building industry for over 30 years now, Brad has been an integral member of the Graham Jones Design team for over a decade. His broad knowledge of construction has helped bring many clients dreams to life, no matter the size, scale or complexity of the works. He loves the opportunity to work with GJD’s design team to resolve intricate features that need a careful thought process, to help provide a cost effective yet simple method for their construction. Brad loves nothing more than building a personal connection with all our clients and seeing an unparalleled client-designer relationship is maintained.
Gemma Malec

Amongst many other things, Gemma brings to the team a very keen eye for interior design – allowing each Graham Jones Design to be carefully considered both inside and out. Gemma is a highly skilled and thorough draftsperson who loves seeing a project through from start to finish, while her strong communication skills and friendly personality allow her to work closely with clients to ensure their vision is achieved. She is committed to delivering clean, accurate documentation in a timely manner, whilst walking clients through the design process to help achieve the best possible result for each project.
Tristan Warkuss

Tristan is a calm, measured and highly efficient member of the GJD team, who is immensely methodical when it comes to 3D modelling and producing documentation packages to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with strict timeframes and to an unwaveringly high standard. He is a creative draftsperson with a strong understanding of a client’s needs, bearing a passion for taking an idea and turning it into built form through the design process. This has seen him recently return to university to embark on his architectural education and broaden his knowledge in the industry.
Kristen Levey

Kristen is a bubbly and personable architectural graduate with a meticulous approach to design and presentation. She is an expert at taking our designs and producing photorealistic impressions to present to clients, helping everyone to better understand the concept and be on the same page with the overall design. With Kristen’s endless enthusiasm, she loves nothing more than to tackle new challenges and take every opportunity to work through design details and prepare town planning packages. She is a brilliant asset to any project assigned to her, no matter how big or small.
Cathy Drake

Cathy is an integral member of our team and provides a broad knowledge of accountancy and administration processes. She relishes the opportunity to make sure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently to ensure that we deliver a professional service to exceed our clients’ expectations. The Graham Jones Design team, external consultants, and clients alike all benefit immensely from having Cathy in the office as a point of call to manage any accounting or administrative tasks no matter how big or small.
