Cottage House – Emerald

The unique shape of the existing loft-style miner’s cottage and its sitting on a steep site enabled Graham Jones Design to bring the simple, skillion roofed, contemporary design to life. Uncomplicated lines, captivating views and a limited material pallet showcase the attention to detail and quality of finish.

The new and old blend seamlessly, both complimenting each other and offering large outdoor entertaining areas. Soaring ceilings are accentuated with vertical colorbond external claddings and the warmth of naturally stained external timber cladding. Woven galvanized steel mesh balustrades with timber tops provide the perfect location, for a relaxing afternoon drink, with the Australian bush and Cardinia Reservoir as a backdrop.
